Weekly Foozball Outlook: Week 7
Last Week’s Record: 11-3
Season Record: 43-28
This week has a couple of interesting of matchups….
*London gets another crappy game with Giants vs Rams
*The return of Geno Smith! Smith played well at the end of last season and had a really good training camp. Smith was actually the starter before last year’s preseason incident.
In this edition of the Weekly Picks, instead of picking the fantasy player of the game I will pick the Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch going forward.
Now, on to the picks…
Giants @ Rams (In London): The NFL is trying to expand internationally, but giving them games like this does not help. I really hope the Rams finish at 7-9…it would only be right
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Tavon Austin WR, Rams. Austin is always a “boom or bust” option, but has a chance for big plays against the Giants.
Saints @ Chiefs: One team has a good defense, the other does not.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Chris Conley WR, Chiefs. Saints can not stop anyone and Chiefs receivers should post big numbers…Even with Alex Smith as their QB.
Vikings @ Eagles: Carson Wentz is about to hit the “Rookie Wall”. The Eagles offensive line looked awful against the below average front seven of Washington…and the Vikings front seven is so much better.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Charles Johnson, WR Vikings. The Vikings Receivers all have some sort of injury and Johnson is the healthiest of them all.
Colts @ Titans: The Titans are on a two game winning streak and should continue against the Colts who have a lot of problems on both sides of the ball. The Titans have an underrated pass rush and will be able to get pressure on Andrew Luck.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Chester Rogers WR, Colts. The Colts #2 & #3 receivers are out and Rogers is next in line. Rogers and good speed and has shown some flashes when he has gotten in the lineup.
Bills @ Dolphins: Go to the Bills injury report and look at what Tyrod Taylor has to throw to…
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: DeVante Parker WR, Dolphins. The Dolphins passing game relies on short passes, but occasionally takes shots downfield. Parker has a chance this week for a big game.
Washington @ Lions: Matthew Stafford has played really well since the end of the last year thanks to Offensive Coordinator Jim Bob Cooter. The problem for the Lions is that they are going to be without key defensive players DeAndre Levy and Haloti Ngata.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Golden Tate WR, Lions. TE Eric Ebron will be out again this week and Tate should continue to be targeted.
Browns @ Bengals: The Browns offense, Terrelle Pryor, is not 100%
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Tyler Boyd WR, Bengals. The Browns defense is allowing passing touchdowns at an alarming rate (31st in the NFL) and Boyd should have his opportunities.
Raiders @ Jaguars: Teams going West to East normally struggle. I think this will be the case this week.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Chris Ivory, RB Jaguars. Ivory is starting to take back the leading back role from T.J. Yeldon and should take over the goal line work
Ravens @ Jets: The Ravens defense is 3rd in the NFL in total yards, but the offense is struggling to put up points. The Jets offense has been able to move the ball downfield, but drives stall because of turnovers.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Geno Smith, QB Jets. Yes, I picked him.
Chargers @ Falcons: Chargers games have always come down to the end this year and expect this one to be exactly the same.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Mohamed Sanu, WR Falcons. Sanu is getting about 6 targets a game and is averaging 11.5 yards per catch. Sanu should have a big game against the Chargers secondary.
Buccaneers @ 49ers: This will be the game that gets Jameis back on track.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Jacquizz Rodgers RB, Buccaneers. Rodgers is the only healthy Buccaneers running back and the 49ers are giving up 174.5 yards a game on the ground (Last in the NFL).
Patriots @ Steelers: Landry Jones has had several opportunities to turn the starts for Roethlisberger into a starting job for another team…and has done nothing with them.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Sammie Coates WR, Steelers. Whenever Roethlisberger gets hurt, Antonio Brown’s production drops and the #2 receiver’s production goes up.
Seahawks @ Cardinals: It looks like it is going to be one of those years were you can not trust Carson Palmer against a good defense.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Tyler Lockett WR, Seahawks. Lockett is finally healthy and will not be on any limitations.
Texans @ Broncos: Brock Osweiler returns to Denver…and has not been playing well. Denver’s defense is going to make sure that continues.
Sleeper Fantasy Player to Watch: Devontae Booker RB, Broncos. Booker has been getting more carries and could potentially steal a touchdown from C.J. Anderson.
